That might be two sides of a coin. I’ve been here for 3 years and they might be a little more open. The same as with us – we don’t smile at strangers. I have to see somebody 3 times before I make friends with them.

It interested me. Who is on the verge of riot? Which people? Why?

I had an opposite impression. That people seem to be like on calming medications. Stupid tabloids and Big Brother being opiates to the masses, which allow the system to continue working:)

Haven’t you heard that the fog is back?

I realize now that the ‘tea’ is a meal after work, before the evening meal.

I just didn’t expect to find that kind of society structure… Thrilling to examine if one is a scientist, I imagine.

BTW: Look above – it seems that not only Poles are interested what others think about us!

‘on the verge of riot’ is actually a very good description of British society. It’s been that way for centuries. A polite and refined nation we are not, it’s a myth on a par with fog and five o’clock tea.
